FAQ

Frequently asked questions about eDriver

This page collects the questions companies ask most before using eDriver: how the app detects and sorts trips, how accurate mileage and per diem calculations are, whether it suits sole traders and larger companies, how it connects to the accountant, what happens with the data and how the subscription works.

What is eDriver?

eDriver is a Slovenian mobile app for automatic travel orders, developed by eDriver Solutions d.o.o. from Domžale. The phone detects the start and end of a drive by itself, the app calculates mileage and per diems, and at month end one tap prepares an Excel report with receipt photos for your accountant. The subscription costs from €9.90 + VAT per user per month; the trial lasts 14 days. More than 300 companies are registered with eDriver.

How does the app automate travel orders?

The phone uses GPS to detect trips, and the app records the route, time and kilometres and prepares a draft travel order. It calculates mileage and per diems, reads the amount and date of parking or toll receipts from a photo, and at month end prepares an Excel report for the accountant. The driver only confirms the trip.

Is it for small companies or only larger organizations?

Both. Pricing is per user and the features are the same for one driver or a hundred. A sole trader pays €9.90 + VAT a month, and with more users the price falls to €4.70 + VAT. Companies with more than 150 users get a volume price or a custom offer. The trial lasts 14 days without a credit card.

How easy is it to enter trip data?

The app captures most data itself: the phone records the route, time and kilometres, and the amount and date of a receipt are read from its photo. You only add the purpose of the trip manually if the app does not take it from your Google Calendar. You then confirm the detected trip with one tap.

Does eDriver integrate with our accounting software?

Today eDriver exports the monthly report in Excel, with one sheet per month and user and with receipt photos, and the accountant imports or retypes it into their accounting software. There are currently no direct connections to accounting software. For larger companies an API is available by agreement.

How accurate are the calculations?

eDriver calculates mileage and per diems under the Uredba o davčni obravnavi povračil stroškov in drugih dohodkov iz delovnega razmerja, the Slovenian decree on the tax treatment of expense reimbursements. Kilometres come from the GPS record of the trip, per diems from the actual duration. You confirm each detected trip with one tap before it is calculated, so you do not have to do the sums yourself.

How secure is the data?

Data is stored on servers in the European Union, all connections are encrypted and login goes through a central identity system. A company sees only its own organization's data, and API access uses separate credentials that you can revoke. Location is recorded only during a trip and with the user's consent.

Can travel orders be adapted to our needs?

Yes. You can set the mileage rate for company vehicles, add vehicles and users, and choose how trips are detected: fully automatic, semi-automatic with confirmation, or manual. Each user sets their own working hours and the connection to Google Calendar.

How much does it cost?

An eDriver subscription costs from €9.90 + VAT per user per month for one user down to €4.70 + VAT for more than 100 users, with €9.20, €8.30, €7.40, €6.50 and €5.60 in between. The yearly plan costs ten times the monthly price, so two months are free. The trial lasts 14 days without a credit card. Prices checked on 21 October 2026.

How do I cancel?

You can cancel at any time in My account. The subscription stays active until the end of the paid period and does not renew. After the free trial ends, the app stops creating new travel orders, but your data stays saved. You receive an invoice after every payment at the e-mail address you gave for accounting.

What must a travel order contain?

A travel order must contain the details of the company and the employee, the date and time of departure and arrival, the route, the purpose of the business trip, the vehicle and registration number or type of transport, the kilometres driven with the mileage calculation, per diems, other costs with proof, and the signature of the responsible person and the date of issue before the trip. eDriver records most of these details itself.

How is mileage calculated on a travel order?

Mileage is the kilometres driven multiplied by the amount per kilometre. For using your own car on a business trip, the Uredba o davčni obravnavi povračil stroškov in drugih dohodkov iz delovnega razmerja sets a tax-free amount of €0.43 per kilometre, so 100 kilometres driven give €43. eDriver records the kilometres from GPS and calculates the mileage itself.

Do I need a travel order as a sole trader (s.p.)?

Yes, if as a sole trader you claim business-trip costs such as mileage, per diems or parking. A travel order proves that the trip was for business, and you can issue and sign it yourself. eDriver detects the trip automatically and calculates mileage and per diems, and the subscription for one user costs €9.90 + VAT a month.

How long do I have to keep travel orders?

Travel orders are accounting documents, so keep them under the rules for accounting documents; your accountant will confirm the period. The customer is responsible for keeping them: eDriver automates the preparation of travel orders but does not offer legally compliant storage, so download the monthly Excel export with receipt photos regularly or send it to your accountant.
